On May 22nd, over 7,000 kids converged on California's beaches to
take part in the 13th Annual Kids' Adopt-A-Beach Cleanup.
This year, the themes of the aerial art were:
"Make the Connection"
and
"Help Oceans Thrive"
They removed litter and created aerial art at the following locations:
SAN DIEGO COUNTY
"Help Us Thrive"
1,500 kids at Oceanside City Beach.


LOS ANGELES
"Make the Connection"
2,800 kids at Dockweiler State Beach.

ORANGE COUNTY
"Help Oceans Thrive"
1,000 kids from inland schools at Huntington State Beach.

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY
"Thrive"
125 students from Strathmore,
Tulare County at Cayucos State Beach.

MONTEREY
180 students from Dinuba, Tulare County at Municipal Beach on Monterey Bay.
SAN FRANCISCO
"We Are All Connected"
1,300 Bay Area students at Ocean Beach.

Also, this year we are pleased to announce the pilot of an OCEAN DAY KID'S BLOG. Students in these different locations are able to communicate with each other and talk about their their favorite things about the ocean, their experiences at the beach, and ask each other questions!
